I’m finding tons of interesting stuff online today. For instance, ever wonder about ramen noodles? Like, how are they made? Is it just one long noodle? Are they really that bad for you? This article has it all. And another thing: is the Counting Crows song “Mr. Jones” really about Adam Duritz’s penis? Enquiring minds want to know.

Oh thank GOD! If “Mr. Jones” had been about that dreadlocked freak’s willy I would have vomited on the spot. Every year I have at least four or five students sing the chorus to me (somehow, they think no one has thought of it before–I make sure to correct that notion in the most sarcastic, non-teacher-ish way possible) and it would be twice as unbearable if I had to think “Oh no, they’re singing that d**k song to me!”

Hahaha… I didn’t even make the connection with you, Max! Damn, that would’ve been a funny reference to make in the post. And I totally sympathize, by the way. I had kids calling me “Howard the Duck” every year of elementary school, I swear to God.

my junior high torture, among other things, was the nick-insult “birdshit.”
i believe it was Nietzche who said what does not kill me makes me bitter long into my adulthood… 😉

Don’t even get me started on the horrible day in gym class when Donny Miller started calling me “Krispy Wheats and Raisins” during a game of tag. I nearly had a breakdown.

Ha. My seventh grade yearbook photo is what makes ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’ hard to watch.
