Indiana, Enjoy Your Final Two Years Of “Tax-Free” Amazon Purchases – Well, crap. I’ve looked at the Amazon help pages, and it looks like this is going to be added to all orders being shipped to Indiana. So even though I don’t live there, I’ll be paying tax to send gifts to my family. BOOOOO!

I’m surprised Indiana hasn’t had to pay tax all along since Amazon has two warehouses in the state. We in Kentucky do but we’re just silly with Amazon locations (four of them, according to Wikipedia). Still, it seems a small price to pay for quick delivery.
But if it really bothers you, look for third-party sellers with “fulfillment by Amazon.” They aren’t held to the same laws.
