Please reconsider the use of the term “butthurt” – MetaTalk – Fascinating discussion. Personally, I hate that phrase and I definitely associate it with gamer culture (and their misogynistic usage of “rape”). This is possibly because the first person I ever heard use it was a bully I used to work with who also called things “gay” and thought goatse* references were the height of humour. It’s an ugly word. However, I have seen it in other contexts, most incongruously over on some Ravelry forums. The meaning has been watered down of course, but it still seems to be favoured by gleeful trolls. I would be happy to see it used less on the Internet.

* If you don’t know what that is, I don’t recommend googling it. It was a really offensive picture and a lot of COOL INTERNET BROS thought tricking people into viewing it was the height of humour.
