Three-month gym membership: $150
Cute blue water bottle: $3
New sports bras: $30
Stepping out of the gym into the bright blue sunshine after having finished my workout, ran two miles, and lost half a kilogram, and thinking, “I am so proud of myself”: priceless
Nearly getting hit by a car because I’m so entranced by the idea of running home and blogging this right away: pretty damn embarrassing

I’m not sure if that’s a congratulatory “well done” for my gym achievements, or a sarcastic “well done” making fun of my near accident. Either one is warranted, though, so I’ll take ’em both. 🙂

Well, we’re all glad that you’re safe. 😉
Damn, I’m jealous. Why is your gym membership cheaper than mine? And how were you able to find multiple sports bras for $30? I paid $25 for ONE. [grumble]
I know how you feel, though. I ran 2.65 miles in 30 minutes during Friday’s workout, and I was so happy I could’ve cried. Then I lifted weights for about 20 minutes. I’m surprised I could move on Saturday, but amazingly I wasn’t too bad off.
Today is another of my cardio/strength training days, and I’m pumped. I wanted to exercise yesterday, but was worried that I would be too sore to workout today, so I abstained. It was hard for me, though. It was over 70 degrees yesterday in DC, in JANUARY. I was in such a good mood.
Heh. It’s pretty weird that I am all looking forward to exercising now, esp. since I’ve been such a slug the majority of my life. Who would’ve thought getting off my ass and being active could feel so good? 😉

Things are cheap in Australia. The bras actually cost me $20 AU, but with the exchange rate, that’s only $10 US. And my gym was cheap because it’s pretty crappy. I mean, it’s got all the machines and stuff I need, but if you rate my gym in London as a 10 (with pool, women’s only gym, sauna, huge locker rooms, child care, cafe, etc.), this one here is a 2. But it serves my purposes.
I know what you mean about wanting to workout every day. I have to hold back sometimes. My trainer said that I should only do the weights every other day, because with the time it takes you to build muscle, you don’t get any benefit out of doing it every day. So try to just enjoy the days off.
