Kimchi

Ask Yahoo answers the question, “What is kimchi and how is it made?” I’ve watched my mom, grandma, and aunts eat this stuff for as long as I can remember. It’s one of the things that I wish I liked more, just to feel a little closer to that part of my identity. If you’re thinking of trying it, though, you should know that it’s really hot. Really hot.

Mmm… I love me some cabbage, and spicy food is also high on my list. Maybe I’ll give it a try sometime!

on the topic of homesickness and kimchi and all that…guess where i’m goin’ tomorrow? GRANDMA’S. ha. (sorry. i know i shouldn’t rub it in. but i haven’t seen ’em in a while, either. last time i saw her i was feeling saucy and wanted to try the kimchi. she totally wouldn’t let me! she called me out for being a wuss before i could even touch the jar. i guess it was probably for the best.)
