Wicked

Bill alerted me to the fact that a musical adaptation of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West is in the works. Cool. I just read it a few months ago and I think it would be a fascinating topic for a show. It doesn’t have as much in common with the Judy Garland movie as you’d think, though, which makes me wonder if deluded Manhattan parents will end up dragging their kids along to a musical about politics, culture, feminism, and fate. Oh, and there’s sex too. ๐Ÿ™‚

I really enjoyed that book! I agree, it’ll definitely be fascinating to see on stage — as long as Time Rice and Elton John aren’t working together on the score. ๐Ÿ˜‰
