Squinting on a cloudy day in my new Meringue skirt! @ Dawes Point http://t.co/LZSPtZmp
@pransellknit One of my FB friends said it looked like an AWNING, and now that’s all I can see. *sigh*
I can’t believe @the_snook is actually arguing in favour of the word “usedn’t”. I have never heard it used before, and I don’t like it.
@drkknits It appears to be quite archaic and Pommy. One of those old man expressions @the_snook uses. http://t.co/6wAm5hJH
@Yarna_ @knitterjp @drkknits @the_snook He’s the reason people think my Aus vocab is weird. Because I copy his weird archaic phrases!
@redambition Didja see? It’s on FB too. 🙂
@twelveeyes Wait, what? Tahiti! Holy crap, that’s awesome! Congrats.
@Gin_ev_ra It looks weird written and it sounds weird pronounced. So both aspects. Totally not used in North America!
@merrinmez Oh, I know what it means. I just think it’s archaic and weird. And I say that as a (mostly) prescriptivist.
@Gin_ev_ra I’d just say “I didn’t [whatever]” rather than “I did not use to [whatever]” or “I used not to [whatever]”. American brevity. 🙂
What is all this Melbourne business? My Masterchef feels off-kilter.
