@The_McJones I went to a Googler event in Sydney not long after it happened. “That’s the guy,” whispered my companion, “who turned off Reader.” I had to be restrained from going up to him and kicking him in the shins.


@The_McJones @Fraize @rstevens Someone I know has a theory that that’s why Reader’s death had oversized impact. The people that used it the most were journalists and influencers (in the true meaning of the word). Google just saw small numbers but didn’t think about who those people actually *were*.
