#38 on RS’s list of “Women Who Rock.” I don’t think I’d ever listened to this album straight through before. It’s fantastic, and really great for getting stuff done at work. I think my favourite song is “Hyperballad.” The only problem with Bjork is that I will forever identify her voice with Moomins. (Actually, that’s not really a problem.)
#37 on the RS’s list of “Women Who Rock.” Some of these songs sounded a little too sexy for work listening, you know? But man, I need to add “Run the World (Girls)” to my running playlist. Beyonce can BRING IT.
#36 on RS’s list of “Women Who Rock”. I’d never heard of this band before! More early London proto-punk, this time with a chick singer and saxophone. It’s all pretty catchy and fun, though I can only understand like half of what Poly Styrene says. “Oh Bondage, Up Yours!” made me laugh.
