Many Aussies are horrified/amused by Republicans tweeting their desire to immigrate here when Obama wins. We have national healthcare, a carbon tax, and an unmarried atheist woman as Prime Minister. Don’t they know that, the Aussies ask? No. No they don’t. I’m pretty sure their knowledge of Australia starts and ends with reruns of The Crocodile Hunter.

Wait, Maryland’s same-sex marriage law is winning? I am so thrilled for Josh Stevenson right now. I know it’s bittersweet for him, but it’s a great outcome. People will come around.
