How do you picture the calendar in your head? Mine is definitely monthly, but the months run from right to left, January through December.

Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

It’s sort of shaped like a wheel, working clockwise with January 1st at about the 11:30 spot so that the winter months are across the top, the fall is on the left, etc.
The months sort of do have colors (January sort of an ice blue, March light green, etc), but they’re really suggestive of colors so I can’t perfectly articulate them, even to myself.
This is something I haven’t thought to ask anyone else about since I was a kid. I guess it’s good to know I’m not the only one.
Ha! I’ve never really contemplated this before, but I definitely have my own way of keeping track of time. My mental calendar is split up according to each of the four seasons, and also split in half. June (my birth month) is my January, and December is my June.
