And just a quick note about tonight’s final Australian Idol performances… Damien’s got this one in the bag. Jessica was good, but his songs were just better. He even made the crappy manufactured single into something I would actually buy. (Note to Holden: Put that Ben Harper song as the B-side and I’ll pre-order. Seriously.) My only complaint – and I fear this will be unpopular – was the falsetto. I know it’s his thing, but the fact that he puts it in EVERY song means that part of my enjoyment is marred by waiting for the falsetto shoe to drop. His voice is so great without it that I don’t need to be reminded of the falsie during every single number. LOSE IT, DAMO! Other than that, the only surprise of the night was confirmation that Andrew G is, in fact, doing Movember. (And is rocking the Spurlock, I might add.) I totally called that.
