Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

this subject fascinates me – obviously i like Chocolate, and i usually eat Green and Blacks, because I know it is “safe” my kids bought me some Oxfam fair trade chocolate, but when they got it home they noticed that it was grown in Ghana – many chocolate plantations in Ghana use child slave labour, and the kids where rightly concerned – to date we haven’t received a reply from the Oxfam people – the people in the shop weren’t sure, and I suppose with it being holiday time that it may take a while for people to answer our email, but I’m not eating it until I know for sure.
That chocolate looks so good! I heard that Dagoba chocolatiers took their 70% cacao dark chocolate off the market and remade because traces of lead were found in it. I wonder if all the very dark chocolate has this?
