“Is gingerism as bad as racism? I can vouch for the fact that anti-redhead sentiment is much stronger in the UK than anywhere else. (But they do still make ginger jokes in Australia, too.)

There’s an entire episode of South Park based on Cartman hating gingers. Random. Honestly before that, I’d never really heard the term used for red-heads. Although there’s the whole Kentucky-born phrase, ‘beat you like a red-headed step child.’ 🙂
