Whoa! Cafe Otto in Glebe burned down last night. That’s where I had my celebratory hamburger at the end of Worldvision Famine 2004.

Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

We liked Cafe Otto. We have happy memories of it from the early days of our relationship. We had what was to be our last lunch there on 18 December. Sad.
When I first came to Australia 10 years ago I lived i Glebe and this was a favourite of mine. I loved the blueberry smoothies, though it was very unwise to smile afterwards.
Hadn’t been there for ages, and am very sorry for that.
Does anyone remember the Angel Pavement Restaurant? It was the original- rebuilt in the mid seventies and operatioal to the mid eighties, before it was sold and became Cafe Otto.
