Magic at Uluru. It rained at Uluru earlier this month and a photographer was there to capture it. Amazing. Our tour guide told us how it looked in the rain when we visited last year, but said it’s a pretty rare occurrence. Neat.

Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

These photos really are magic. When I visited Uluru in 2001 we had the magic of a short shower of rain, and even that changed all the colours of the rock instantly. Unfortunately this predated digital photos for me, though I do have wonderful prints of photos I took at the time. But my puny photographic efforts are nothing like this!
