I finally wrote down my thoughts about the whole #RoaldDahl rewrite kerfuffle over the past couple weeks. I was quoted in the Telegraph article that broke the story, and it was honestly a little scary to get pulled into a culture war. For the record, I don’t support the changes, but only because they let Dahl off the hook for his indefensible and wrong attitudes. He wasn’t a saint, and I think he’d reject being put in that position himself.
