Happy birthday to my favourite person. He’s smarter and cuter than me, but at least I’m a little bit taller? 😂❤️

You have died of dysentery.

Friday night fun: watching a 90min documentary on “The Oregon Trail” educational video game. (I’m not even kidding. This was a massive nostalgia trip for me and I learned heaps about the Minnesota tech industry in the 70s and 80s.)

* Trivia – The phrase “You have died of dysentery” never actually appears in the game!

Sydney sewists: If you haven’t heard yet, @wearethefabricstore moved to Newtown three weeks ago! It’s no longer in Surry Hills. It’s south of Newtown station, just past the Greek Orthodox Church and the row of shops. Hang a left at the funny old filling station on Whitehorse St, the laneway opposite the button shop. It’s a nice big huge warehouse space with lots of natural light! How good is that?? 🪡🧵

Week 20: Everything is accelerating! The cabinetry is all done, and our wardrobes are stunning. Instead of a walk-in closet, we’ve now got a full wall as well as a little dressing area. The living room shelf and drawers are in too, though everything is covered up now for PAINTING. The skirting boards are being primed, and the chalkboard wall is no more. Also, the dining room doors now have a truly magical tiny flyscreen that accordions out – you can barely see it! (It’s held shut now by that line of blue tape to protect it from dust.) Lastly, the laundry sink has a pull-down siding door to close it up when we have guests over. Nice, huh? The best part is that all the critical stuff is due to be wrapped up in the next two weeks, so we’ll be able to move in soon!!

What a beautiful day! We went on an expedition over the Harbour Bridge to Cremorne, where we walked all around the point. It’s lovely! Sandstone cliffs, patches of regenerated native bushland, sailboats, formal gardens, stunning mansions, and many bush turkeys. Then we caught the ferry back for those million dollar views… ⛴️ ☀️ ❤️
