Day trip to Hakone today involved 7 different means of transportation! One big fast train, one other one that climbed an 8% grade up the mountain, a funicular cable car, a rope skyway, a PIRATE SHIP, a bus ride, and of course, our own feet. 😅🚊🚞🚠🏴‍☠️🚌

Current status: swaying over a volcano in Japan. 😳🌋

Sightseeing, shrines, shopping, and sake today in Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. It was also lovely to catch up with my colleague Nick and our old buddy Kame!

Highlights from a perfect day at Moominvalley Park. We rode a very special train, saw fun attractions, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. There are two Moomin parks in the whole world, and now we’ve been to both of them. ❤️☀️🚆🌳 #moomin @moominofficial

Finally the tourist part begins! Tonight we headed to Shinjuku for a ramen 🍜 (“Is that bowl lined with meat?! OH HELLS YEAH.”) before heading out to Musashi-Koyama for a traditional onsen experience, getting naked and sitting in hot mineral spring baths. 🛁 😳
