My tour of the Great Gay Icons with Amy Allenspach continues this evening with DOLLY PARTON’s concert in Sydney. Can’t wait! (Somebody better tell Grandma Veva for me.)

Islands in the stream, that is what we are… (Amy: “You know ALL the words!?” Me: “This is my FAVORITE SONG EVER!”)

Dolly was amazing. She sang “Coat of Many Colors,” and Amy and I cried. We miss our moms.

Also, one of the most surreal moments of my life. Thousands of gays, lesbians, and drag queens all held spellbound while a tiny sparkly woman from Tennessee sang about poverty in a place on the other side of the world…

    Joyous 2:30/45s R/W on a beautiful day. I needed that. .

Didn’t mean to get pissed at the pub. I blame Shane, Simon, and Kunaal.

Getting Dr Amy’s annual vaccination. She is Not Happy.

Penn State news is crazy. Yes, I think they all should have been fired. Possibly even prosecuted. And all those rioting students should be ashamed of themselves. How could you find out that an authority figure was abusing kids and think that passing the info up the chian of command was enough? How would you even sleep at night?

I came all the way to country Victoria… to find bloody knit graffiti.

Beautiful afternoon. Time for a beer.

Nice slow 3:2 run on country dirt roads. Just what I needed!

The Snook *is* growing a ‘tache this year, but he’s not supporting Jeff Kennett and his homophobia. Please support Fauxvember instead!

I was going to go to work early so I could leave this arvo and watch the race. Then I remembered horse racing is boring and sleep is good.
