I finally wrote down my thoughts about the whole #RoaldDahl rewrite kerfuffle over the past couple weeks. I was quoted in the Telegraph article that broke the story, and it was honestly a little scary to get pulled into a culture war. For the record, I don’t support the changes, but only because they let Dahl off the hook for his indefensible and wrong attitudes. He wasn’t a saint, and I think he’d reject being put in that position himself.
It’s going to be a big week! I’m making my first appearance on the APAC edition of the She Builds Tech Skills program, in a special episode for International Women’s Day. We’ll be streaming live on twitch.tv/aws from 2pm AEDT on Wednesday. (That’s 7pm PDT Tuesday for those of you in the US!)

Sydney friends – my Costco membership has expired, and I’m debating whether to renew. What’s the perception of prices? Is it worth it? We only went maybe every couple months, and Rodd’s suspicion is we didn’t get enough benefit (especially once you consider getting the Goget car each time). Thoughts?
