Did a test run of #seamworkbenning today with some random stash cotton. I lined the top (since it’s a bit sheer), then had to get creative with adding panels to (and shortening) the skirt due to fabric constraints. Hmm. It’s a bit shapeless, but a belt helps. Definitely some fitting issues to address before I do the real one! #awsdressv2 🧵🪡👗

Funemployment stage 257: restoring a 30+ yo keyboard he found in his childhood bedroom. He had to order a connector and solder some things together, but it definitely works! Next step – CLEAN IT. (It’s so gross.) ⌨️🛁

Fit check! I knitted one of the afterthought heels so I could check the placement, and it was a little tight. So I frogged it back to that point and moved the heel back a stripe. Much better! Now it’s just a straight shot up the leg… 🧶🧦 #knitting

For his birthday, he really wanted to go to Sixpenny, one of the best restaurants in Sydney, which meant booking six months in advance. It did not disappoint. We had a delicious long lunch with oysters and wine and everything lovely. Highly recommend. ❤️🍷🦪

Our first Weisswurst since leaving Germany. We’re having it for dinner, but I comfort myself that it wasn’t yet noon in Munich. ❤️🥨🍻 Logistics: This required travel to four separate specialty shops, considerably more outlay of funds than in Munich, and the Snook had to make his own süßer Senf (which wasn’t quite right but we’ll get there).
