  • Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy Birthday, Mom! I hope it was a nice one for you.

  • Colour Knitting

Thanks to Donna, Sharon, Carole, Ashling, and Mel for being such great students today. I taught my second-ever Colour Knitting Class and it was my best teaching experience yet. I think the big difference was that my students all had the prerequisites down; I could just say “cast on twenty stitches” and not have to worry about some beginner who couldn’t tell her knit from her purl. I think the pacing was good and everybody felt like they learned a new skill. I’ve got one more class coming up this semester – Socks on Two Circulars – which I’m really looking forward to. (Incidentally, spots are still available if you’re interested!)

  • Test Results

    Test Results:
POSITIVE – My application for citizenship has been formally approved! Now I just have to wait until they schedule me for a ceremony. Keep your calendars free for the big “Kris Becomes A Right Aussie Sheila” Party!

NEGATIVE – I am not, repeat, not pregnant. Officially. I’ve had an upset stomach for the past month and my insane preggers sister managed to plant a seed of paranoia in my brain, such that I actually broke down and took the test just to reassure myself. Hooray! I just have an ulcer. Bring on the beer and wine.
