Sew Tessuti Blog – The Colette Tunic Top
Sew Tessuti Blog – Sewing Tips & Tutorials – New Fabrics, Pattern Reviews: Our NEW pattern – The Colette Tunic Topย – Ooh, a new pattern from Tessuti! I really like this. It’s reminiscent of the Tova Top, but I suspect this one might fit me better than Tova did. I might have to get it…

@sarah_liu Just realised I’ll have to update my slides to show some of the more recent Canva media pieces! ๐
@gilmae That sucks. Arrogance is just confidence. I think it’s pretty gendered too. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a woman called that.

@worldtableco I was making a joke about YOUR Twitter spam.

@randomknits YES!!! Love it. ๐
@willbonds Yeah, I think I’ve got too much muscle memory built up. Wouldn’t be a problem if Notification Center had them all. GAHHH.

Today’s frock is firmly in “Wacky Op Shop Grandma” territory.
And I’m not being age-ist. The Snook is fairly certain his grandma had this exact dress.
@sarah_liu Wait, are you and I the only speakers from Sydney that are doing Melbourne as well?!
Melbourne women – I’ll be speaking at this fantastic event in a few weeks! Hope to see you there. https://t.co/nuEu8lfHVF

Lark Tee
Sydney is in the midst of a spate of really hot Spring weather, and something’s triggered a terrible allergy attack. I spent most of the long weekend lying on the couch moaning. Amazingly, I did manage to get some sewing done in spite of my streaming eyes and nose, mostly because I’d wisely booked in some friends to come over for a “crafternoon.” Behold the Lark Tee. Yes, it’s a v-neck t-shirt. I put in a lot more time, effort, and money than I would have to simply buy a similar shirt from Target. But dammit, I made it! And it’s not too bad. The fabric is some beautiful teal jersey I bought at The Fabric Store a while back, and I spent a long time hand-basting a line down a single rib so I could make sure I wasn’t cutting off-grain. (That’s why cheaply made shirts tend to twist on you.) The cutting took a lot longer than the actual sewing, to be honest.ย I stitched most of it together on my overlocker, only using my normal machine for the necklineย and hems. Many thanks to Donna for her advice and moral support on the day–though it didn’t help that she was wearing her own (much nicer) version!
