    Every year at @knittersguildnsw we review our knitting resolutions from January. Gudetama knows I didnโ€™t achieve either of mine. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ https://t.co/ccDFP9G7vf https://t.co/lvePkzs2a4

    @evolvable @joneaves @joshprice @whereistanya Engineering manager roles. For some reason, there are companies that want managers to be โ€œhands on technicalโ€ when the actual role does not involve being hands on. Itโ€™s a great way of gatekeeping. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

    RT @DisavowTrump20: Men have been losing elections for years and still continue to speak out on issues they care about. Yet when Hillary trโ€ฆ

    Okay, WordPress 5.0. Let’s do this and see how much of my custom shit you break…

    @vertis My site has 1400+ pages with lots of cross-referencing. I’ve played with Jekyll, but this does not seem to be the right use case for it.

    The WordPress 5.0 update went just fine, and using the Classic Editor plugin seems to keep everything copacetic (at least until they kill support for it in 2021). Phew.

    @HeartOfPluto_ @craigles75 @yow_conf It’s weird for me to see the tweets and not be there! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

    Today I learned never to play the “I bet I’m on more work mailing lists than you are!” with a Google SRE. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

    @unixbigot @Amys_Kapers Holy shit, yeah, run away!

    This is amazing. It describes my entire tech career – why Iโ€™m not an engineer anymore, everything I did at places like Canva, why I hit a ceiling on promotion, and why Iโ€™m still trying (and often failing) to Be Less Glue. @whereistanya – you nailed it. THANK YOU. https://t.co/NyJULQ8Vzg

    @alicegoldfuss @whereistanya It describes something Iโ€™ve experienced and known in my bones and never put words to. This is ME. Thank you.

    RT @abbyfuller: this whole thread ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

    @alicegoldfuss said it better than me, but this is so worth looking it-. “Glue work” affects SO manyโ€ฆ

    @joneaves @joshprice @whereistanya Right, but have you ever gotten the โ€œNot technical enoughโ€? My last three job interviews all went there. Women in glue work tend to get tarred with that brush more frequently, Iโ€™ve seen.

    Lazyweb: anybody know of a place in the Sydney cbd where I can pick up a plain sheet cake? Like Costco style. The Town Hall Woolies doesnโ€™t have them…

    @tommyjowitt Probably a bit too far. I want it for SydTechLeaders and Iโ€™m already in cbd.

    RT @MichelePlayfair: Dave Thomases! Gotta catch em all…

    @simonwaight @SydTechLeaders Rest assured – it’s in my rant. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @darthted @simonwaight @SydTechLeaders I unreservedly think the Opal card is technology that has made an improvement in my life.

    @darthted @simonwaight @SydTechLeaders Beyond that, I struggle.

    @gilmae @darthted @simonwaight @SydTechLeaders That was me listing something that is *not* in my rant, thank you very much.

    The Sydney AWS user group is kicking off. Full house for the re:Invent recap! https://t.co/b2fpVHuSbO

    Lots of questions coming from the audience about new AWS features – Lambda Layers, License Manager, Outposts, and more… @JasonUmiker is well-prepared! https://t.co/P16KHzMhze

    Ten years ago, we used relational DBs for everything, Marcus says. Now database freedom means you can use the right DB for your exact needs. https://t.co/ymBleNIwus

    @hannahyanfield @gilmae @mobywhale @DebTeakle Thatโ€™s because you are a BEAUTIFUL RADIANT SUNFLOWER and I would never rant in front of you!

    Hearing from Marcus about some of the advantages of using AWS IoT and machine learning to manage herds of cows! ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„ https://t.co/jsjh5LreA2

    TFW you look over at a meetup and see @GeoffreyHuntley typing a DM to you… ๐Ÿ˜‚

    I just realised that @gilmae will be lugging a Festivus Pole all the way to @Atlassian on the train tomorrow for @SydTechLeaders. It’s almost like the whole meetup was one long prank by me and @darthted just to see that happen… ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Working on my @SydTechLeaders rant for tomorrow… https://t.co/GcEv5UU8Wi https://t.co/yESUdLywcy

    @damncabbage Actual thing I said tonight to the Snook: “Could you help me find, like, the DOUCHIEST CRYPTO MEME POSSIBLE?”

    @spud01au Four if you count me, and two of us work for AWS. ๐Ÿ™

    Ranting uniform: red lippy and shitkickers. ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿฅพ @sydtechleaders https://t.co/wzkIryr29n https://t.co/eLJhEo6wQQ
