Yahoo Music’s algorithms are fascinating to me. The Snook started by requesting Paul Kelly which kicked off a string of Australian musicians: Daryl Braithwaite, Powderfinger, Gotye… eventually Crowded House, Natalie Imbruglia, and now… Wheatus?

    …and now hip hop.

We just hypothesised that it only looks at the last few songs, and wondered if eventually every playlist ends up converging into the same one? I wonder what the last song is.

@auxesis Ha. I would not be surprised.

Got the DeepLens up and running! And of course, we start with Hotdog or Not Hotdog… 😂🌭 https://t.co/lWK34ZR8rZ

@mattallen Oh believe me, he was tempted.

French feast courtesy of the Snook: Pommes de terre sarladaise, haricots verts, and pork chops. (I don’t know the French phrase for pork chops.) ❤️🇫🇷 https://t.co/rTqYVkWSXR https://t.co/MnSSxoMeg8

Remember 8yo Clara, who wowed 200+ devs at @yow_conf Connected a few years back with her live coding demo, showing how she programs her @jewelbots? She just emailed me to ask some questions about my Alexa trivia skill Github repo.

We’re all gonna end up working for Clara. ❤️

MeFi: pride and obsequiousness https://t.co/gTVb4hhGeF – an essay about the various versions of Mr. Collins presented in P&P adaptations. I didn’t remember that Charlotte is preggo at the end of the book! Funny how the movies leave out that little detail…
