Highlights from today’s AWS Community Day Pune. My keynote was well received by the 800+ attendees, and I posed for hundreds of photos afterwards. Thanks to the amazing @awspune organisers and volunteers who made it all possible. Now it’s time to relax and recover… 😴
Exploring new foods! Tonight’s post-event dinner was “misal pav,” spicy vegetarian curry eaten with hot buttered bread rolls. It’s a very traditional dish here in the Pune region. For dessert I had kulfi, which is like a dense ice cream. Everything was so good! I’m stuffed.

Being basically a giant means that dresses that are normal length on others are a bit, uh, brief on me. So for #frocktober day 5 I paired my beautiful ruffly @made590 Vera dress (in @riflepaperco fabric!) with a pair of shorts. Today I learned that there are few early signs of ovarian cancer, and in some cases it can be asymptomatic until it advances to the later stages. Donating to the @ocrf to fund research can help. #frocktober Day 4: It’s super humid in Singapore so today you get a hotel room selfie. I went for thematic with my self-made palm frond Seamwork Benning (the pilot for the #awsdressv2). Today’s fact is that if ovarian cancer is detected in the earliest stages, a 90% chance of survival is possible – that’s why the @ocrf are funding projects for early detection tests. As much as I prefer trains, living in Sydney and having an APAC-focused job means a fair bit of airplane travel. Recent I bought my first pair of compression socks. I tell myself they are TACTICAL and not dowdy, thank you very much… 🧦

Today’s fact is that there is NO early detection test for ovarian cancer — a pap/cervical smear does not detect it! Donations to the OCRF help fund research into early detection. Link in bio… 👗🌴
