I remember for my first few elections living overseas, I paid lots of money to FedEx my ballots back to Indiana to ensure they would be counted. I'm truly grateful that nowadays I'm able to vote electronically and receive confirmation that it will be counted. The folks at the Elkhart County Election Board have always been super prompt and professional, and I appreciate their efforts to make it easy to exercise this important Constitutional right! ❤️🇺🇸 And if you haven't yet voted, and you can, PLEASE DO IT. Even if you think all politicians are the same - which, wow, nice privilege - there are still folks running in local races that will have a much more immediate impact on your life. Think about the example you are setting to your kids, and to the rest of the world. The US was once a beacon of democracy, and every person who neglects to vote undermines the principles enshrined in our Constitution. People died for this right, and the way to honour that is to have your voice heard.

Important Note

This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.
