Don’t forget the 1.5% of gross taxable income that goes on the Medicare Levy to cover GP visits, pathology, radiology, public hospital stays, and pharmaceutical subsidies.

True, but somehow money that I never had seems like less of an actual expense. That’s part of the bonus. It’s like superannuation. I know I’m supposed to consider that as part of my remuneration, but most of the time I just forget about it.
