Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

I am so making myself one of these.
I will have to learn to knit *just* to knit this scarf. Is it hard in your opinion, Kris?
This is just about the easiest scarf you can do, Lucy. She recommends you do them in garter stitch, which just means you knit every single row. (You don’t have to learn how to purl.) So you just need to learn to cast on, knit, and cast off. For color changes you can just knot the new color on at an edge. A beginning knitting book should have all this stuff in it. I recommend the ones for kids as they usually have better pictures! 🙂
