Um, not that I’m sitting at work hitting refresh on the BBC Sports site or anything… but ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS? The Poms are all out before tea on Day 5, and the Aussies need 168 off 36 overs. This is turning into a ripper of a match!

Poor Ashley Giles. He was copping it from everybody – the commenters on the BBC site, the commentators on the telly here, etc. But what a victory!

No question, the Australians are mentally far tougher than the English team: it helps to have somebody like Shane Warne who’s simply a genius, but the bottom line is that when the Australians got a sniff of a win they went for it.
If England can pull a drawn series out of the bag after this start it’ll rank with their 1981 effort.
