Russell Crowe SUCKS

MUCK FICHIGAN
Me: *GASP!* You are DEAD to me, Russell Crowe!
Snook: What’d he do?
Me: He gave a pep talk to Michigan before the damn game! He’s all buddies with their damn coach!
Snook: You should write him an indignant letter, and point out that there’s a Notre Dame campus about 500 meters from the bloody South Sydney Leagues Club!
Me: Too right.

  1. I’m sure he is concerned that he dead to you.

  2. *sigh* You don’t have a great sense of humour there, do ya, Peter? Talk about a mood killer.

And he should care! He made all the effort to try to cultivate a sense of history and pride amongst the locals for the Rabbitohs, and he goes and roots against a college of several hundred students in his own backyard.

I can forgive, Russell, but I cannot forget.

  3. Kris, it’s just a football, only a football, nothing more, get a life. After 100 years nobody care about that.

  4. Oops! I forgot these πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :-):-) πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :-):-)
πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :-):-) πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Use as many you need and then send rest back here, i’m little short of those.

  5. mwahaha! I only laugh because it’s not basketball season. Then I’ll comiserate (sp?)

  6. hee hee. I just had to laugh at your headline, because it reminded me of my time on my high school yearbook where we slipped in a tiny photo caption ‘wuck filson’ (can you guess the name of our rival?). And the principal found out the day before distribution, and we had to white out the caption in EVERY book, and so WAY more students found out about it than would’ve noticed. Of course, that has nothing to do with Russell Crowe, Notre Dame, or football, or Sydney… oops. but thanks for reminding me of my yearbook committee past…

  7. Actually, jussi, my university is one of the few in the country where people do care about football games after a century. “Notre Dame (0-3) is winless after three games for just the second time in school history…” This article even compares the past coaches going back to 1920.

You may think it’s trivial, but it’s a big deal to a lot of people! (And I’m not even that big a fan. I couldn’t even tell you who we lost to in the first two games.)

  8. I live in the heart of Nebraska Cornhusker country and have openly supported Notre Dame for a long long time. I heard all he jokes I could just about take on sunday about Notre Dame. Sigh. I feel your pain! I take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’ over it too.

  9. If Russ had supported Nebraska, I’d have to picket his house in Sydney.

  10. That’s not really the same Notre Dame. It just licenses the name. I doubt that Notre Dame in Sydney has a clue about the football game. πŸ™‚ And they’re a big player in the World Youth Day thing, which makes them *evil* in my book.

  11. Actually I think they’re closer than you realise, M-H. NDUS is all over their history from the very beginning. When the Sydney campus started, one of the big NDUS guys (think it was Fr. Beauchamp) was out here advising. They also put the Golden Dome on posters all over the new offices. They’re pretty closely tied.

Eh, the whole Pope thing kinda sucks, but I try not to throw out the nice Catholics with the bathwater…

  12. Well, my opinion of Russell Crowe has certainly changed (Says the Ohio State fan).

  13. Kris, you make me think, thank you.
