Thanks for that! Can anybody else confirm? And wasn’t there a separate one for Gregory Peck, too? (I’m following along on a message board and it’s possible they got it wrong.)
E-mail from my cousin Jenny confirms 30 in the reel with 2 special remembrances for Hepburn and Hope. I think we’re going to have to go with 30 though, as my original wording did specify “in the tribute reel”. So 30 will be it for the tie breaker! And we’re gonna need it.
Ahhhh, I did suck. For a second time. But well done Peter Jackson. I’m proud of him. It doesn’t seem so long ago I was grossing out classmates with a tape of his kitchen baked Bad Taste. But more importantly, lots of thanks to Kris for running the most interesting part of oscar night again. Cheers, mate!
I just realised that my last comment is stupid. Most films that win will have a 100% success rate if they are only nominated for one award. Don’t worry..I’m an idiot.
So I’ll try again. Has any film that has won such a large number of awards (ie greater than 8) had such a high success rate?

Go Lord of the Rings! 11 from 11. Has anything else matched that (in terms of 100% success rate)?

Well, Ben-Hur and Titanic both won 11, but Ben-Hur was nominated for 12 and Titanic 14.
