The larger the rock, the rockier the marriage – MarketWatch – Some interesting stats in there. Given that the Snook and I dated for 4.5 years before getting hitched, had no engagement ring, got married in Vegas with no guests, and didn’t even have wedding rings for 5 years (and only got them because I bartered web development for them), I think the outcome is clear. We’re stuck with each other forever. 🙂

Not sure about your conclusion, Kris, given that I lived with my ex-husband for several years before marriage, had no engagement ring, had ten people at our registry office wedding for whom I cooked lunch afterwards, and never had wedding rings, and yet we separated. I guess there are always statistical outliers in all data.

Haha, always wrecking the bell curve, Lyn! 🙂

So given that our ceremony was about half the price of our wedding/engagement rings and our honeymoon was about double (maybe more…) the cost of the rings and ceremony combined, I’m a bit confused where we sit on the bell curve!
