I don’t care what anybody else thinks… I think the Jedi Wedding idea rocks! I especially like the bit where the priest asks if anybody has any objections to the marriage, and “Duel of the Fates” kicks in while Darth Vader stands up and is repelled by lightsabre-wielding groomsmen. If you’re gonna get married, do it in style.

Oh my god, I should’ve known I’d face ridicule from you. Again, I am not anti-Jedi, only pro-non-Jedi.

Hahaha… Why do I get the feeling that whenever I say something especially geeky, it’s going to end up in a comedy routine somewhere down the line? DUDE, if you ever want help writing a Star Wars-obsessed character, let me know. π

That reminds me of something you’d see in a soap-opera wedding. There’s always some rich, eccentric couple that’s spending lots of money to have a strangely-themed wedding. Kinda like when Asa and Alex Buchanan got married One Life To Live… They had this whole Cowboy/Egyptian thing going on.

Ooh, and when Jack and Jen got married on Days, they did it at the “Wild West” Show at Universal Studios, I believe. π

First off I had a Jedi wedding and it was awsome. I had a beautiful dress something like padme’s dress in episode II and the reception was wonderful too. There is nothing wrong with the idea of a Jedi wedding! All of you making fun of the idea, maybe I think your idea of a regular old boring wedding is lame.

Uh, there wasn’t a single comment making fun of the Jedi Wedding. In fact, I said I thought it was cool. Methinks you’re being a bit overly sensitive.

i was going to comment that of course regular old boring weddings are lameβthey’re inherently regular, old, and boring. me, i had a traditional wedding that kicked major ass. and no, that’s not just because we drank the bar dry. π

I kinda think weddings are like personal websites, i.e. something that nobody else should ever criticize, because it’s none of their business. Do it however you want to do it. That said, you can never go wrong with an open bar. π

you’re right, kris, but if i never go to another wedding again where the DJ sings along with the songs or is overly-enthusiastic about getting everyone on the floor for the chicken dance or the tush push, it’ll be too soon.

I shudder to ask, but… “the tush push”???

i think it’s some C&W line dance. i’m usually too busy at the bar to take notes. π
