That’s my new favorite word. Wouldn’t it make a great title for a weblog?

you obviously get the same “word-of-the-day” e-mail I do… I was trying to find reason to use omphaloskepsis all day (especially as I was feeling particularly ophaloskeptic on saturday… def 2, indisposed to motion!)

Yep, I’m a Merriam-Webster girl. I’m really happy with it so far. I expected it to be more “here’s a word you’ve probably never heard of!”, but instead it’s like the majority of them are words I know but with interesting trivia about their etymology. I like that.
