I was just researching cocktails for a work project (as one does), when I came across a recipe for a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster. As you all know, the effect of this drink is like “having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick”. We may have to try this.

  1. I wonder which bit of booze in that recipe is supposed to be the substitute for that Ol’ Janx Spirit? 😉

  2. Ha. I propose a contest where we slam a couple of these and then try to say “Slartibartfast” 10 times quickly. 🙂

  3. gah, that sounds perfectly awful. but then i really can’t drink the hard stuff like i used to (not that i could even back then)…

i’d assumed back in the day that Ol’ Janx Spirit was gin, although i can see how tequila would have a lemon/gold brick effect on a person.

  4. Gah. I agree. We often refer to tequila as “tokillya.”

And I don’t think I can say “Slartibartfast” slow! I get tongue-tied just trying to think it. 😉
