I think I work in a sick building.
Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

I would have guessed the listening to include some Barenaked Ladies from your tag. Or perhaps you really are breaking up a band ๐
Actually “I Won’t Be Your Yoko Ono” is a Dar Williams song. I like to think of it as the response to the Barenaked Ladies tune. ๐
Go, Dar!
Have you heard it? It’s one of my favorite songs ever. Such a great girly anthem and a defense of Yoko. Everybody talks about Yoko not being worthy of Lennon. Why couldn’t that go both ways?
I wonder if Yoko Ono
Ever thought of staying solo
If she thought of other men and
If she doubted John Lennon
Worrying that he’d distract her art
Sitting in the Apple sessions
Giving John her music lessons
Challenging the warring nations
With her paper installations
Did she guard her Yoko human heart?
Well, they could talk about me
Yeah, they could talk about me
Throw me to the velvet dogs of pop star history
But I won’t be your Yoko Ono
If you’re not good enough for me…
