The whole thing is blackened in my mind by the iTunes Music store. I don’t care if it’s a good idea. I don’t want Apple in bed with the record companies. I find it all very frustrating! I feel a little better having gotten that out. Oh, oh, and also, how come I can’t use the new iPod features on my 1st gen 5 gigger? Totally lame! I was on the iPod bandwagon from day one (literally). I should get preferential treatment.
I don’t think Apple are any more in bed with them than, say, Amazon or Wal-Mart. They’re just selling. Steve’s already said that they’re going to open it up to smaller labels and independents as well. Give ’em time, I have faith. 🙂
That said, the lack of upgrade for the old iPods has pissed me off too. I’m hoping they see the backlash and rectify it. I’ll give ’em a little time as they’re probably busy working on OS X 10.3.

Okay, okay–I’m convinced (especially since the PC version will allow USB 2.0 connection in the near future)!
You had me at “so tomorrow.”

Hooray! Honestly, the iPod was MADE for you. I almost couldn’t believe you didn’t have one already. You’re going to love it!
