Very good. The original quiz was a spreadsheet that would tell you if you got them correct or not. The only ones you would’ve missed were 17 and 30. I think the centilitre one might be technically correct, but there’s a simpler answer. I think you’re reaching with the cricket ball though. 🙂
And yours was right too, Dad!

7. ?
8. 13 Stripes in the United States Flag
11. 5 Toes on a Foot
12. 90 Degrees in a Right Angle

Kris
August 7, 2003 — 10:19 am
Oh crap! I left the number out of 7! It’s supposed to be 52 C in a P (WJs). Sorry… Other than that, yours are all correct, Tricia!
29 was the one that took us the longest. A hint: HB does *not* stand for Holy Bible.

Ahh, well now I get 29: 52 Cards in a Pack (Without Jokers)

You mean 7. 🙂 This is getting confusing!

I’d like to know how long you took getting your answers, MENSA IQ tests have time limits! Great way to waste time though, it’s too hot to work here.

23 P of C in the H B – 23 pairs of chromosomes in the human body. hey, which ones couldn’t you get? i LOVE these things (although i have seen a lot of them b4 on a pub quiz)
Kris
August 8, 2003 — 10:02 am
Between the two of us we got ’em all in about an hour. I was tearing my hair out over “13=unlucky for some”. It’s a saying they have here (from Bingo) and even though it was the first thing I thought of, I couldn’t get the stupid spreadsheet to accept it (since you had to type “13 is unlucky for some”). Stupid equals sign. I couldn’t get the chromosomes either. I was stuck on the idea that HB was the Holy Bible.
Peter
August 12, 2003 — 8:59 pm
Couldn’t get the damn spreadsheet to accept #13 – “32 is the Temperature in Degrees Fahrenheit at which Water Freezes” should obviously be the answer, but I get a false from the spreadsheet.
Kris
August 12, 2003 — 9:13 pm
Hmmm… You haven’t mispelled anything there, Peter, and that’s definitely the answer. I dunno. Maybe it’s the capitalization?
Penny
August 24, 2003 — 10:59 pm
This was a good one. There were two that I would never have got. 13 Stripes to the US Flag and 15 M on a DMC. Still dont know what the last one is.
Kris
August 25, 2003 — 8:45 am
The answer to that last one is up in the comments above, Penny.

August 29, 2003 — 8:51 pm
I have had the spreadsheet recently sent to me, and rather than 16. Being 100 C in a D – it is actually 100 C in a R, therefore it is not 100 Cents in a Dollar, and it does not accept it… any ideas?
Jannelle
August 29, 2003 — 8:54 pm
I only have 2 left to get… any help?
No. 29 which is… 64 S on a CB (I can’t get it to accept 64 Squares on a Checker Board)
& No 26. 9 L of a C
???
Miltos
August 30, 2003 — 1:40 am
No 26. 9 Lives of a Cat. No 16. 100 cents in a rand (u have to be south african to get that one or know your forex). No 29. 64 squares on a chess board
Kris
August 30, 2003 — 9:19 am
For future reference everyone, every single answer is given in the various comments above. So quit asking for them! 🙂

hey folks – as a medical student, 23 P of C in the HB isnt 23 pairs of chromo’s – I think you might be closer if it were 23 parables of Christ in the Holy Bible- which is acurate! Hope this helps! Rhodri
