Okay, I know it’s five years later, but I just now tried a musk stick from Coles Supermarkets. I don’t even know what to think. It’s like… Wow. They taste like Old Spice smells, only with sugar. Not bad, but not remotely good. And the texture reminds me of those orange circus peanuts I used to eat all the time when I was a kid.
So, I’ve done it! I’ve eaten candy flavored by the anal secretions of a deer! And I’m still not sure what to think about it. 😛
Hee! Yes, Coles Supermarkets in Australia. One of my livejournal friends is visiting her family in the Sydney area, and sent me an unexpectedly ginormous care package full of Arnott’s biscuits, Cherry Ripe, Dairy Milk, some wicked awesome jelly beans from the Natural Confectionary Co., and a package of musk sticks from Coles. I’ve been gorging on Tim Tams since yesterday. My diet is SO blown.
By the way, I made my boss and a co-worker each try a musk stick this morning. They claim I’ve poisoned them. >:)
HA, awesome! Tim Tams are the best. I like to keep mine in the fridge so they’re slightly cold when you eat them. And don’t forget to try the Tim Tam Slam…

I’ve had musk flavored Lifesavers from Australia. To me they tasted like baby powder. Not that I make it a routine habit of eating baby powder…

Yeah, I’ve heard them described as “baby powder” or “rose-colored soap”. Doesn’t make them sound any more appetizing though… 🙂
