Max points out that The Amazing Race 5 is now casting. Hooray! That means it’s probably coming back! Unfortunately the official eligibility requirements preclude the Snook and me from applying on account of his non-Americanness and my not-resident-in-Americaness. If Max gets in we’re totally rooting for him, though.

Thanks, Kris! I think we (Davis and I) may give it a real shot (though convincing the school board to give two teachers several weeks off may be another matter entirely).
Hmmm, I wonder what their policy is on getting help from locals? I mean, we Internet types have friends all over the world. What if they sent you to Singapore… Could you call up Kristen when you got there? What about us in Sydney? (Not that they’d likely go to any of those places, seeing as how they’ve done them in previous seasons.) Rodd and I have always wondered what the policy would be on people who’ve travelled a lot. There didn’t seem to be anything in the application guidelines about being an international superhero (and I seem to remember at least one team this year had already been to the Milan location).
Anyhoo, the other critical thing you need to be on the Race – besides a catchy relationship tagline – is a signature item of clothing. Nothing as heinous as Ian’s hat, but definitely something we can giggle everytime you wear. Personally I’m betting it’ll be a navy polo shirt. 🙂
You’ve nailed my signature fashion choice, Kris–my other sartorial dilemma revolves around whether I should plan to take alonmg my current backpack, which is identical to Reichen and Chip’s, down to the make and color. Good luck or jinx?
Jinx! Everyone will think you got it to copy them!
