Hey Ya

I know I’m about six months late to the party on this one (as usual), but I am loving this “Hey Ya” song by Outkast. I’ve had it on heavy iPod rotation all week.

  1. Not quite six months, maybe 3 or 4 ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s been interesting watching its ascent; I first heard it on the local indie radio station but it quickly made its way to the mainstream stations, SNL, and halftime at the basketball game last night. Despite all of the exposure, I’m not sick of it yet.

  2. I’m very out-of-the-loop these days when it comes to new music. I don’t drive so I don’t listen to much radio, and when I do it’s usually just the oldies station at home with the Snook. We don’t have cable so I’m not seeing MTV. I really only discovered the song a couple weekends ago when I caught the video on “Rage” (Saturday morning music show). That’s also where I first heard the “Milkshake” song. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the Hey Ya video clip, too. Love all that green.

The whole double album thing is pretty good, too. The big hit off the other disc is ‘The Way You Move.’ Good party-staring music. In fact, I’m dancing to it in my head now.

Oh yeah – “don’t wanna be your daddy…just want you in my caddy!”

I meant to tell you a while ago that I KNEW you’d like that song. (Judging from that whole Wyclef phase you went through a while back.) I actually kinda think of you when I hear it. Oooh, and we listened to it before the marathon…if you wanna get pumped up before a workout, try it. Works great. And I gotta agree with cous’ – the double disk set is actually tha’ BOMB! Check it out.

favorite lines: Lend me some sugar. I am your neighbor!

  8. I love it too, Kris! I don’t watch a lot of TV, but when I catch the vid, I ALWAYS watch it. The lead singer (Andre?) is such a cutie.

Shake it like a Polaroid pick-cha!
