Everything you were afraid to ask about Donnie Darko. I think I’m finally getting a handle on this movie. It does sound though like the Director’s Cut gives a lot of stuff away that might be more fun to guess on your own. (Link courtesy of Brigita.)

Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

Its about alternate realities and time travel and God. I got that in about 20mins when I saw it last year. Watching the directors commentary kind of confirms it too. Alternate realities and time travel are explained quite niftily in Back to the Future II. ๐
Dude, there’s no way you got that in a mere 20 minutes of watching the movie. Are you kidding?!
Not exactly 20mins without knowing anything about it as i had been told it was a bit of a mind bender beforehand so was prepared to put brain in gear. The girlfriend at the time was well impressed ๐
