Kevin alerted me to the fact that the Star Wars Episode III title crawl has been revealed. Hmm, I’m decidedly not intrigued. I’m committed to seeing it, though. I’ve invested enough time into this series that I can’t imagine not seeing how it ends. (Jeff, however, is wavering.) Are you still planning to see it?

Lucas’s evil plan is for everyone to go in expecting the worst, given the decidedly dodgy nature of the first two, then unleash a film of outrageous genius upon us. At least, that’s what I’m clinging to.

Hahaha… Now you’ve planted that idea in my head too, grandpa joe! We’re in utter denial, methinks.

Um. It doesn’t look that bad a title crawl, given that they’re all pretty cheesey anyhow. I have faith. Though I had that in 99 too. Discussing it with a certain front-ender at ND got me the job though! 🙂

All 6 title crawls do look weak without the huge scrolling text and music, but EpIII seems particularly bad: “There are heroes on both sides. Evil is everywhere.” ?!
I’d consider going if I could fall back on the “worth seeing just for the special effects” clause, but I’m not sold in that department any more: Episode II seemed very average in the CGI department, especially the cheesy arena monster scene with its jerky action and overt bluescreening.
