Is Bob Geldof annoying the crap out of anybody else? Now he’s actively trying to guilt people into playing Live 8. I think it’s great if artists want to perform for charity, but pressuring them into it really sucks. He’d probably make a law that everybody has to watch too, if he could.

And remember–no Bush-bashing when you’re onstage! Geldof’s attitude and rules make playing at one of these events sounds about as thrilling as a fourth-grade field trip to the box factory.
I thought of a great analogy on my way in to work this morning: It’s like that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer refuses to wear the AIDS ribbon and the other walkers all turn into an angry mob and beat the crap out of him.
ARGH. And now he’s naming and shaming Mel B for holding up the Spice Girls reunion.
