My Mom finally shared the photos she took during her visit a few months ago, and I particularly liked this one of me and the Snook at Farm Cove. We look so much cooler here than we do in real life.
I’ve got a bunch of other interesting shots from the week that I’ll post soon…

I don’t know you, and though I’ve commented a few times, I’m just a casual reader who has followed you’re site for the past two years, so I hope when I say this I don’t come off as too brash or personal or whatever, but when I look at pics you post nowadays (like this one and the one of your Rogue sweater) I seriously can’t believe how much weight you’ve lost and how different and how much better you look. In this picture, you really look beautiful and so so happy. I am proud of you!
Awww, thanks Brittanie! I always worry that people will think I’m bragging or something. That’s why I’ve tried really hard to make sure I’ve given you guys the “warts and all” version of this process, so people don’t think it was easy. And it really, really helps me to hear comments like yours, because I fall easily into the trap of not seeing myself properly. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I think of myself as the chunker I used to be, and then I get depressed over my setbacks. But when I reflect on how far I’ve come, it makes it easier to deal with the day-to-day issues.
I feel the exact same way as Brittanie.. I’ve been lurking here since way back when. I’m not even sure how I got here now. Probably from the sock monkey posts & then I think looked at your whole craft page and then started to follow your blog. You look AMAZING & you are such an inspiration to me. Congrats congrats congrats! I don’t even know you, but I’ve watched you get engaged, get married, and turn into a bombshell. You friggin rock girl.
Edit – a BLONDE bombshell =)
Beautiful picture, Kris! 🙂
