I read that post as well, Kris–it’s one of my big food issues (one of many), and while a lot of the advice is good, I’ve tried most of it at some time or another and still can’t stop inhaling my food.
Maybe I need a robot who can just bring my meals to me at 3-minute intervals, one bite at a time. 🙂

When I was in the army I learn to eat very fast (eating fast = more free time).
And now after many many years I still eat too fast. It’s a bad habit and I hate it.
I’ve been trying to remember to do the WW thing, where you’re supposed to stop halfway through and wait a few minutes. It’s supposed to let help your hunger signals catch up to your brain. I still end up eating the rest of my dinner, but at least it lasts a little longer.
