The Snook has encoded the clip of me on the news from last night (and you can see Bex and Lara too!), and then we got all fancy using this embedded flash player. Let me know if you have any trouble viewing it!
I love the guy in the snowflake sweater and I want to be his best friend. But man, I sound like the Biggest. Knitting Nerd. Ever. There I am waxing rhapsodic about the joys of “donating time” when I didn’t even finish the square I was working on. Sheesh.

” I didn’t even finish the square I was working on…” Yeah, but the audience doesn’t know that – it didn’t come across as nerdy to me but I’m biased. I thought it was quite a good little newsbite. Does Matt Devine (snowflake man) go to any local groups?

I don’t know; he seems vaguely familiar but I might just be remembering him from the shop. He seems super fun though, and if he’s reading this – come to our SnB, Matt! We’d love to have you! 🙂

The most flattering tv appearance ever (for me at least). You did amazingly well as our media spokesperson Kris – your cheque is in the mail.
PS. I finished my square and handed it in on the way out.

I knew you were from the States but for some reason in my head I always imagined you with an Aussie accent. Weird!
Oh, and what’s wrong with being a knitting nerd??!

Why is it that I knit all day every day and yet my dad knits one morning a year and he gets on TV? (Everyone we know seems to have seen him.)
You were fine.
