Food movies.

Food movies. Mmm, food. (Superficiality and hedonism being my only defense against the fear of one’s own mortality.)

  1. Wot? No Iron Chef? There’s a Stephen Chow Film “God of Cookery” which is basically a dramatised/comedy rip-off of the concept. Not bad.

I have Tampopo, Eat Drink Man Woman and The Wedding Banquet on DVD if you want to borrow. I had a bit of a delusional scheme to try and lair a young lady-friend back to my apartment and seduce her with absinthe chocolate mousse and Tampopo on the couch.

My heroic attempt to impress the ladies… has FAILED. *sigh*

  2. I noticed Big Night in the comments in a couple of places. That is an Italian food gastronomic orgasm.

Have you and Snookums seen that one Kris?

  3. Oh yeah. I think about it whenever I see spaghetti listed as a side dish on a menu. 🙂

Important Note

This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.
